SSO stands for single sign-on and refers to a wide variety of techniques for avoiding having a user login multiple times.
SSO embedding embeds reports into a website from Looker, and SSO authentication allows you to use one account to log in to other services.
SSO embedding involves the generation of a URL that authenticates the user as a new or returning Looker user, defining all of the permissions and roles, and then displaying the desired content or data to the end user in an iframe.
SSO authentication refers to being able to sign on to multiple services with one login, the way that many services allow you to sign on using your Google or Facebook account.
