Customer-hosted instances may be unable to enable actions from the Looker Action Hub, especially actions that support streamed results or that use OAuth, if the customer-hosted Looker instance does not fulfill these requirements.
See the Sharing data through an action hub documentation page for suggested solutions to this potential issue.
As an admin, you can set up a Looker action to let your users select data in Looker and send it to the Dropbox file-hosting service, either as a one-off event or on a schedule.
Enabling the Dropbox action
- To enable the action in Looker, go to your Admin panel. Under Platform, click the Actions tab. (Admin > Platform> Actions.)
- Select Enable next to the Dropbox action.
- On the Dropbox action screen, click the Enabled switch to enable the action.
- Click Save. You should see a Test Action message.
Your users can now send or schedule data to a Dropbox file or folder by following the steps in the Sending and scheduling data to Dropbox from Looker using a Looker Action Help Center article.
